This is a new quilt that was made as a gift in 1993. The pattern is called Blooming or a Variation of Kaleidoscope and notice the technique which has filled or tufted designs. This quilt measures 69″ x 88″ and the stitching measures 8 stitches per inch. Note that some of the quilting has been done with white thread and then some has been done with burgundy for a contrasting color. On the backside of this quilt there is a label that reads, ‘This quilt was made for Carole Jacobs – made by Pam Miller’. Blooming – Pamela Smith Miller of Asheboro, NC – 1993′. There are several ribbons that this quilt had won in North Carolina. There is even a newspaper article written about Pam Miller and this particular quilt which has won several awards and with this quilt we have an appraisal that was given on this quilt for $2,500.00 and is dated April 28, 1994.
