Cast Iron Fluting Fluter Iron – Patent Date 1866 – H. Sauerbier & Son

All original antique cast iron fluting iron or pleating iron crimper that is identified by its maker, ‘H. Sauerbier & Son Manufacturers, Newark, New Jersey’. It also is marked with the information and patent date of, ‘Mrs. Susan R. Knox – Patented Nov. 20, 1866’. This machine turns easily when you move the handle and the base of this machine measures 9″ wide by 8 1/2″ deep and is approximately 8 1/4″ high. This iron came from out of the Omaha, Nebraska area.
