Call to Dinner or Meeting Bell – Deagan Plate Chime No. 89

Antique chime in working order. Beautiful tone. I was told this was used to call people to dinner on ships trains or hotels or used in meeting halls. I would date around 1920. This oak box is stamped on the back Deagan Plate Chime No. 89. Measures 7 3/4″ x 10 1/2″ and 3 1/2″ depth. Deagan mallet percussion instruments are some of the finest ever manufactured. As many of them were built nearly a century ago, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find them in original or mint condition, and their value continues to appreciate.
