Brought to America by German immigrants and also produced and sold in the dime stores during the 1920s and ’30s. These Christmas trees were made of dyed goose feathers which were attached to wires which became the branches for the first artificial trees. This tree has berries on the end of a lot of the branches with lighter green feathers on tips of the green branches. There are 8 levels of branches, with five branches on 7 of the levels the top level has 3 branches. The trunk of the tree is in good shape the square wood white base is decorated with garlands on each side. The underside has a faint stamp mark that I can not read but I am positive it was made in Germany. This tree measures 42″ height.
