Antique Cracker or Biscuit Jar – Turtle on Lid – Crown Milano Mt. Washington

Exceptional detail in both the mold and the floral design of this Crown Milano Mount Washington cracker jar. This jar is referred to as the turtle track design and has the appropriate full figured turtle on the top of the silver plated lid. The beautiful gold and brown floral design against the cream and white background makes for an attractive contrast that is quick to catch ones eyes. This piece is marked on the bottom with the ‘Crown Milano – 527’ signature. This piece measures 4 3/4″ high to the top of the figural turtle on the lid. Approximate diameter is 5 1/2″ at the widest. Excellent all original condition. This Crown Milano cracker jar is featured in the antique reference book, Mt. Washington Art Glass by Betty B. Sisk on page 133, and it is also on the cover of this same book as a featured item. This is a beautiful piece.
