This is a wonderful mahogany two-piece bedroom set. The Victorian Mahogany Bed frame is made from heavily grained flame mahogany wood. Features prominent elements of late 19th and early 20th-century Rococo Revival design, including dramatic scrolling shapes, a high-arching serpentine headboard, and elaborate floral and leaf relief carvings. The front panel displays rich book-matched flame mahogany wood fanning outward symmetrically to draw attention to the natural wood grain pattern. The footboard rests on low, ornate cabriole legs terminating in carved scrolled feet or animal-inspired claw details. Beds from this era (circa 1890–1915) were traditionally manufactured as full/double sizes rather than modern queen or king sizes The bed is a full-size bed with a mattress opening of 54″ wide by 74 1/2″ long. The headboard stands 79″ high, and the footboard is 44″ high and the headboard is 61″ wide. This set has a matching mahogany serpentine dresser has an original carved beveled mirror, features prominent flame mahogany wood arranged arranged in a diagonal pattern across the drawer fronts, offering a rich, contrasting grain. The curved bowed sides and serpentine front are supported by heavy carved claw stylized lion’s feet.
