Five Antique Hoosier Glass Spice Jars with Etched Labels

Product #G339C

This is a scare find of five Hoosier glass spice jars. Notice the unique molded shape of each of the five jars with a circle on the face of the jar where each one is then marked with either an etched signature or black lettering words naming the spice that the jar holds. Molded in the bottom of the jars on the bottom they read, ‘The Hoosier Saves Steps Kitchen Cabinet’. Each of the jars measures 5 1/4″ high and has a diameter of 2 1/2″. Three of the jars are marked with clear etched wordage and they read, ‘Ginger, Cinnamon, and Cloves, with the ginger and cinnamon having pierced lids for sprinkling the spice, the lids also have a lever for closing the tops. There is two other jars which are marked with black lettering and they read, ‘Baking Powder and Cream Tarter’. Notice on all five of the jars there is a unique emblem below each of the spice names. ‘H.M. Co.’ Hoosier Manufacture Company would be my guess. This is a rare find and all five jars are in good all original condition. –
