All original antique lamp that supports two art glass shades. The shades were made by Fostoria Glass Specialty Company. In 1910 Fostoria produced a high quality lustre type art glass in an effort to compete with the glassware produced by Tiffany. These art glass shades remind one of the cased and iridescent glass of Steuben’s aurene. The interior of the shades have a gold aurene with a cased overlay of white with green vines and gold heart designs, which are all covered with gold aurene drizzled designs. Both of these shades are a beautiful piece of quality art work. The shades measure 4 1/2″ high with a top opening of 2 1/4″ diameter and the bottom opening where the light would shine down measures 5″ diameter. Good all original condition, the overlay of gold has a few places where it has come off. One does not know this with out closely examining the shades. The iron base stands on a raised base with claw feet. There is one little rose flower on the base and it would appear that perhaps there was more flowers at some time. This base measures 18″ high the base is approximately seven inches in diameter. The shades can be positioned differently as you can see that there is a ball type socket above where the shades attach. This provides a nice functional feature. This is a beautiful lamp that you will not want to miss adding to your own personal collection. This lamp came from a sale in the north Kansas City area. A  beautiful lamp that is in working order.
