This is an exceptional find to have both the art glass bowl and the quadruple silver plated holder signed by their maker, ‘Meriden B. Company’. Both the holder and the bowl are of the highest quality! Note the full figured hummingbird that is depicted on the holder. The holder measures 14 3/4″ high and the base has a diameter of 9 1/2″. The bowl is cased with a blue interior and the cream exterior. Both the interior and the exterior of the bowl are decorated with enameled designs that are intricately done in multi-gold highlighted colors. The bowl is highlighted with an amber applied edge around the entire crimped edge The bowl measures approximately 13 1/2″ diameter at the widest point. This is an exceptional piece of Meriden art glass and the first bowl we have owned that is marked on the ground pontil.. We are thrilled to be able to offer this exceptional example for sale!
