Antique Indian shooting bear mechanical cast iron bank or what was named on the original shipping box as the Bear-Hunt Bank. This bank was made by the J. & E. Stevens Company out of Cromwell, Connecticut. Circa 1907. The action of this bank happens when you pull the gun mechanism back into a lock position. Place a coin on the barrel of the rifle. Press the lever and the Indian will take aim and shoot the coin into the bear. The brown bear is featured on this bank. Excellent all original paint and working condition on this J. & E. Stevens Bear Hunt mechanical bank. This bank measures 10 1/4″ long is 7 1/2″ high to the top of the bear and 2 7/8″ wide. You will not want to miss adding this bank to your own personal antique mechanical cast iron bank collection.
