This is an old antique Union Pacific marked railroad lantern that features the red glass insert which is marked in raised letters, ‘Adlake Kero’ and then in black etched letters reads, ‘U P’. Also in raised letters on the red glass it reads, ‘Made in U.S.A.’ The lantern frame is identified by the maker, ‘The Adams & Westlake Company’, and the vented metal top is also marked, ‘U.P.’ This lantern is complete with burner and is ready to be used if you wanted. When the handle is in the upright position this lantern measures 16″ high and the diameter on the base is 6″. On the very bottom of this lantern it reads, ‘Adlake Kero ‘ . If you collect railroad items and in particular Union Pacific then you will not want to miss adding this exceptional find to your railroad and or lantern collection.
