Exceptional all original condition on this cast iron antique still toy bank which depicts Independence Hall or also called the Pennsylvania State House building. This is the largest version of this bank, as there are smaller versions of this bank. Notice on either end of the bank there is raised letters. On one end it reads, ‘Liberty Proclaimed July 4, 1776, and on the opposite end it reads, ‘Birthplace of American Independence’. Again, this is a large version of this bank, and it measures 9 1/2″ by 7 1/2″ and stands 10 1/4″ high. On the underside of this bank in raised letters it reads, ‘Enterprise, Mfg. Co. Philada. (Philadelphia) Patent September 14, 1875.’ Again, exceptional all original condition on this fine example of the larger Independence Hall bank which you can find this bank featured in the antique bank reference book, ‘Penny Bank Book’ by Andy & Susan Moore on page 120 item number 1242.
