Large Bavaria Tankard – Nude 15″ high

Tall and impressive signed Bavaria tankard with a nude depicted on the front of the tankard. The nude is sitting with hands and legs crossed. There is wings on the nude as if a fairy. This is a taller tankard measuring 15″ high, with the base being 6 3/4″ diameter and the top opening is 3 3/4′ diameter with the spout extending beyond that. The bottom is signed with the J&C -G.H.B. & Co. Bavaria signature.  The J&C stands for Jaeger & Company marktredwitz – Circa 1911 to 1917. The initials, G.H.B. and Co. could possibly be for the U.S. Importer George Borgfelt, New York, City. This information is coming from the reference book, ‘Marks on German, Bohemian and Austrian Porcelain by Rontgen on page 79. Tankard is in excellent original condition.
