Antique Quarter sawn Oak Library Table – original finish

This is an antique quarter-sawn oak library table, also known as a writing table or desk.  The table features a rectangular top, The table has two drawers with brass pulls, decorative carving on the apron and legs, and a lower shelf stretcher. The legs are heavily turned with a reeded or fluted design. The quarter-sawn oak construction highlights a distinct grain pattern and a rich, warm color. Made around 1900, Originally sold by Watkins Bros. in Pueblo, Colorado.  Measures 26 1/2″ depth, 42 1/2″ width and 30 1/2″ height.
