Antique Oak Map Chest – original finish, with 16 dovetail drawers and beautiful cast iron pulls. The sides have raised beveled panels. This neat storage file cabinet came out of the Effingham, Illinois area. Measures 61″ high and is 32″ wide by 20 1/2″ depth. (the top 8 drawers interior 12″ wide and 17 1/4″ depth and 2 3/4″ height, the next 6 wide drawers are12 3/4″ wide and 2 3/4″ height and the bottom two are 4 3/4″ height and 26″ wide). A great solid quarter sawn oak file cabinet with lots of drawer storage. Circa 1900.
