Antique all original and unique motto print with an arts and crafts style that depicts two young men enjoying a drink in their library with the motto that reads, ‘Old wood to burn, Old wine to drink, Old friends to trust, Old books to read’. This scene is printed right onto the wooden backing and note the colorful highlights that bring this scene to life! This frame measures 20 1/2″ by 13 1/2″. Note the construction of this frame and how the side pieces of wood are cut on a slant, for a very unique and beautiful artistic look. This piece is signed by the artist, ‘Howe’ and in the lower left hand lower corner it reads, ‘Published by Taber Prang Art Company – Springfield, Massachusetts’. Then in the opposite right-hand corner it reads, ‘Copyright 1904 Taber Prang Art Co. – Springfield, Mass’.
