This is an Indian or Native American animal hide box which is more than likely made out of deer hide. This type of box was typical done by the Omaha Indians. Circa 1900 to 1910. This box measures 10 1/2″ by 6 1/2″ deep and is 4 1/2″ high. Colorful designs have been added to his hide box and the ends are laced with leather.
