This ship is named the “Oregon”, Pat APLD FOR is also on the side of the bank in raised lettering. This bank is in the book The Penny Bank Book by Andy & Susan Moore pg. 130 #1450. The battleship Oregon helped bottle up Spanish Cervero during the Spanish- American War in Santiago Harbor, Cuba, 1898. The toy bank was made shortly afterwards. Made 1898-1906 by J & E Stevens.
