Pair of Victorian Silver Plated Art Glass Pickle Castors 1 Cranberry 1 Blue

What a fun find! We have available a pair of Victorian art glass pickle castors, that match because the silver plated ‘Meriden B. Company – Quadruple Plate’ holders are the same design. Both are numbered, ‘268’ and measure 9 1/2″ high and at the widest are 5 1/4″ wide. A fun feature is that there is a blue art glass insert and a cranberry insert that are both decorated with a detailed floral theme with gold scrolling highlights. The blue insert has a wonderful display of scrolling gold features between the flowers and the cranberry’s gold highlights are more worn, but one can see there were there. This is a fun find and quite unique to have been kept together over all these years. Both pickle castors are complete with their pickle tongs and silver-plated matching lids.
