Rare Victorian Hidden Safe. Solid Oak Drop Front Desk with an Iron Safe hidden cleverly on the inside. The back side of the door has the name stenciled Herring – Hall – Marvin. The safe has 2 drawers lined in soft material probably originally for fine jewelry. Has the original combination dial knob and has the last patent date stamped of July 10, 1889. Measures 65 1/2″ Height, 23 1/3″ width and 19 1/2″ Depth. The locking combination does work. Circa 1900.
