This oak ribbon cabinet has six doors that drop down on each side and two middle sections that slide in and out. The cabinet has the original tag, ‘A.N. Russell & Sons’. A unique feature is that this cabinet has some old ribbon that would be very true to the ribbon originally sold in this piece. This cabinet was made at the turn of the Century (1900) for the Country Store that would need a display for sewing ribbon and the ribbon was dispensed from these cabinets. People like to use these cabinets today as a wine rack, or they make an excellent cabinet to display one’s antique crock rolling pins. This oak cabinet measures 37 1/2″ high, 28 1/2″ wide by 18 1/2″ deep. Circa 1900.
