Note how the boy is holding one of the roosters that has its wings spread in a cock fight pose while there is a second rooster on the ground with a fierce glare on the rooster in the boy’s arms. This sculpture is artist signed “Sophie Debry’ and dated ‘1920.’ Beautifully cast with stunning detail. The sculpture is featured on a marble base for an added attraction. The marble base comes apart from the sculpture. Circa 1920. The marble base measures 17 1/2″ by 8″ and with the statue on it stands 11 1/2” high. Look closely at the face of the boy and the detail in the roosters the action and emotion are captured well by this artist.
