Antique Cast Iron Show Boat Toy – 11 inches length -Arcade Showboat in original box

Steamboat of cast iron, painted in white body, green hull, red roof, embossed “Showboat” on sides, bell on base rings when pulled along floor (still has the iron anchor tied to the end of pull string), “Arcade” decal on side. The condition is remarkable, and we still have the Box with a label on the end that reads: Arcade Toy Showboat – Arcade Manufacturing Company Freeport, Illinois Made in the United States of America. Measures 11″ length, 4 1/2″ height and 3″ wide. We are showing a copy of the original ad that Arcade had in their catalogue. Modeled after the Showboat used in Carl Laemmle’s Great Universal Motion Picture “Showboat”.
