Antique Country Store Cast Iron Double String Holder

This is a country store cast iron double string holder. Note that on both of the spool holders they are marked with raised letters; ‘The American Thread Company’ stamped on the top of both shelves that hold the string. This piece measures 19 1/2″ high and the base is 4 1/2″ wide by 3″ deep. Each of the cast iron shelves measure 4 5/8″ diameter. Note how the base has four notches that would allow this string holder to be secured onto the country store counter. This is a great old country store accessory that would be fun to add to your country store or string holder collections.
