Amazing old manual Royal Deluxe typewriter that has a certificate stating that this typewriter was sold to Mr. Stanley Bohon, and sold by a Mr. D.D. Douglas of Kirksville, Missouri on July 9, 1937. Note all the extras that this typewriter has and the chrome band around the base of this typewriter. This typewriter appears that it was hardly if every used. The original condition of this typewriter is exceptional. Notice that this typewriter locks into the original storage box, and one can even remove the top portion of the box so that you can use the typewriter by leaving it in the base of the storage cabinet to have a strong and level surface to use your typewriter from. This typewriter comes complete with the ‘Know Your Royal Portable’ paperwork and also the Instant Touch System for the Royal Portable Typewriter diagram for finger placement, plus an extra booklet that is titled, ‘The Findings of the Carnegie Typewriting Investigation Booklet’. This typewriter was made by the Royal Typewriter Co., Inc. – 2 Park Ave, New York, USA. The storage box measures 13″ wide, 12 1/2″ deep, and is 6 1/2″ high.
This typewriter came from an estate collection in Kirksville, Missouri belonging to Dr. Stanley Herbert Bohon who passed away at 100 years old whose family was owner of the Palace Bakery in Kirksville that closed in the 1970’s.
