Weller Art Pottery Floral Decorated Vase – Artist Signed Eugene Roberts

Antique original Weller art Pottery marked vase that measures 8″ high, has a 2″ diameter top opening and at the widest is approximately 4 1/4″ diameter. Notice the attractive floral band that encircles the top portion of the vase. The colors are more in the browns and greens descending done to a cream base all covered in a shiny glaze. The glaze does show some crazing and there are some old air bubbles which are original to the vase. Notice that this vase has the artist initials of ‘ER’ and would have been for Eugene Roberts. When I look in the Weller reference book, it states that he was known for making Hudson, Aurelian, and Louwelsa pieces of Weller pottery. There is also the impressed number ‘313’ on the base. The first number could be an ‘8’, but I think it is ‘313’. This is a beautiful example of marked Weller pottery, one that will make an exceptional addition to your Weller collection.
