This is a rare and unique piece of Victorian cast iron, as this hanger attaches to a wall and then it will hinge down and you can hang your coat on it. Notice the scrolling brackets that will support your coat just like a coat hanger. Decorative casting makes this piece of iron very beautiful if it is not being used and it is in the upright position.
