Antique tin toy truck that is identified as being an Express and Hauling Truck and notice that on the sides of the doors of this truck it identifies the maker of this toy truck and it reads, ‘Walt Reach Toy by Courtland – Made in U.S.A’. This tin toy truck measures 8 3/4″ long and is 2 3/4″ wide and 2 3/4″ high.
Courtland toys were founded in 1944 by Mr. Walter Reach. He started out making die-cut cardboard toys (with lithographed paper),and then changed to lithographed tin, after WWII. The company was first located in Camden, New Jersey, and then moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
