Antique Composition Herby Comic Character Doll – Brother to Smitty – Circa 1930

This funny fellow is a comic character, Herby, circa 1930. Herby is the little brother of comic character Smitty by Walter Berndt, Chicago Tribune-New York News Syndicate.  This 12″high composition Herby has a movable mouth that has been restrung. He shows some wear. I think the largest spot that shows some wear you can see in the photo on the front of his forehead. He is very cute. –
