Antique Popeye Toy Features Syndicate Wood

Wood Jointed Popeye Toy with original chest decal that indicates ‘Popeye – copyright 1935 King Features Syndicate.’ This toy stands an impressive 14″ high and has nice original paint, with appropriate crazing. Top of toy does show string. Notice Popeye’s famous tattoos that have been impressed into his forearms. Again, does show appropriate patina for a toy dating to 1935. We have been told that the 14″ toy was the largest of the wood segment toys made.
