Antique Royal Worcester Ewer Lizard Draped Handle

Product #G583C

Exceptional and unique piece of signed, Royal Worcester, pre-1891, notice the green crown emblem with the number ’51’ in the center, and then also notice that this piece has a second marking done in a triangle shape and the wordage that reads, ‘Made for Philadelphia Caldwell’, and the corresponding number ’51’ in the center of this emblem as well. This all-original ewer is decorated with a draped lizard on the ewer which serves as a handle on this piece. The lizard is highlighted in a bronze color with gold spikes marked throughout its body. While the lizard is quick to catch your eye, you will also want to focus on the detailed artwork on this ewer with a textured base covered in a white background and beautiful detailed enameled flowers and butterflies that encircle the ewer, all highlighted in gold accents. This is a beautiful work of art that measures 11 1/2″ high and at the widest point is 6″ in diameter.
