Antique Victorian Oak Cylinder Secretary Bookcase – original finsish

This is an Antique Victorian Oak Cylinder Secretary Bookcase, authentic to American manufacturing from the late 19th to early 20th century, circa 1890–1910. This cabinet is in very good original condition. The upper hutch features double glass doors enclosing adjustable display shelving and is topped with a decorative carved crown. It can be separated from the bottom base for easier transport.  Unlike standard slatted roll-top desks, this secretary uses a solid, curved wood barrel cylinder that smoothly rolls back to reveal a pull-out writing surface and interior storage slots. The lower chest consists of multiple stacked drawers accented with ornate antique brass hardware handles. Measures 34″ wide, 21 1/2″ depth and 88″ height. This desk came from home in Lancaster County, Nebraska. Circa 1890’s.
