Antique Mission Oak Bookcase – original finish – sliding doors – Danner

This is an antique Art & Crafts Mission Oak double-wide 5 stack barrister bookcase. (also commonly known as a lawyer’s bookcase). This is made of distinct interlocking, stacking sections (units) that can be disassembled for easy moving.  While classic single-width barrister bookcases typically feature “up-and-over” lifting glass fronts, double-wide variants like this often utilize horizontal bypass sliding doors. The step back bottom section has a drawer with original brass handles. Stamped in the back Danner. Measures 38″ Width, 12 ” depth and 76″ Height. Circa 1900.
