Antique Victorian Walnut Step Back Bookcase – Carved Lion’s Head Crest

This is an exceptional all original Victorian two-piece step back bookcase that is crowned with a fully carved lion head design in the peak of the crown. A beautiful, detailed carving! This bookcase measures 99″ high by 49 1/2″ wide and is 24″ deep on the base and the top sectional is 16 1/2″ deep. There are bird’s eye maple interiors, divided drawers, hand carved pull handles, full width storage drawers on the base, and a hidden storage drawer on the very base. Note the dovetailed sides on the drawers, this cabinet displays exceptional carpentry skills. The top sectional with the glass doors has adjustable shelving to provide limitless decorating and storage options and note the two small drawers below the doors on the top sectional.
