Antique quarter sawn Oak Bookcase in original finish. This is an early furniture stamp on this bookcase that reads: Wernicke System “Elastic” Bookcase Patented with several dates that latest being March 1, 1897. The Wernicke Company Grand Rapids, Michigan U.S.A. This was before the merged with Globe and became Globe Wernicke. This bookcase measures 34″ wide, 12″ depth and 51″ height, the interior heights are 1 that is 10″ and the bottom two are 12″.
