Dutch Girl with oversize shoes and kind of comical character – This Cast Iron Door stop with enamel finish is in nice original condtion. There is advertising on the back that reads: Manufactured by W. J. Loth Stove Company Waynesboro, Virgina Meaures 9 1/2″ Height 9″ wide and 2 1/2″ depth.
Note: The Loth Stove Company was founded in 1890. The firm manufactured cast-iron stoves, wood and coal heaters, and a line of waffle irons, tea kettles and other cookware. By the mid 1920’s the company ventured into the electric appliance business designing and marketing the first Hotpoint Range. In 1938, the company installed equipment for melting brass and other non-ferrous metals and began to market products under the name Virginia Metalcrafters.
