Antique Oak Wash Stand Hotel Commode with towel bar is in the original finish. Single bowed front drawer over the double serpentine shaped doors with beveled shaped mirror over a towel bar. The base is supported on carved claw feet and has decorative applied carving from the top of the mirror frame, on the harp and on the sides of the chest. This style of small dresser, chest or commode from about 1895 was often used in hotels in the days before plumbing. Measures 36″ wide by 20″ deep and stands 71″ high. Circa 1900.
