Old North State Advertising Smoking Tobacco Box with Package Bags Dating 1943

This is a unique find, this is an old country store shipping box for Old North State Smoking Tobacco. It advertises that there is one dozen bags in this box of granulated smoking tobacco. There is a date stamped on this box of ‘Oct. ’43’. This would date to the year 1943. There is no tobacco in these cloth bags anymore but there is still the original cloth bags and the original paper labels. Old North State Smoking Tobacco was manufactured only by R. P. Richardson Jr. & Co. Inc. Brown and Williamson Tobacco Corporation successor out of Louisville, Kentucky. This box is complete with the 12 cloth bags and the original paper labels on each sack. If you collect tobacco advertising or old country store advertising then this is a unique find for your collection. The box measures 8″ x 4 3/4″ and is 4 1/2″ high. –
