Antique Indian Native American Smoking Pipe – Carved Wooden Stem with Pipestone Stummel

This is a remarkable antique Native American smoking pipe with stacked, carved heart shapes that make up the stem of the pipe and the stummel is a brownish red pipeclay that is catlinite. Note that there is smoke residue on the top of the vertical pipe that reveals this pipe was one that has been used. The total length of this pipe is 32″ long and the height of the stummel is 4″ high. We acquired this piece from a collection of six different Native American items right here in South Central Nebraska.
