This antique quilt is from the late 1940’s and has been made with square pieces done in red and white. Notice the alternating of the red print fabric and the white squares to create an attractive pattern. The white squares against the red print almost resemble an Irish Chain variation design wihile the Red print squares against the white large squares are a five square pattern. This quilt came from a lady’s quilt collection out of Mexico, Missouri. This hand made quilt measures 70″ x 88″ and the quilting is done well with approximately 9 stitches per inch.
