This is a fabulous rare antique wood and cast iron Baker’s rack that turns into a table. It is the real thing Years ago, when the baker’s would make bread, they would lay it on a table, and then when cooI, the could turn the table upward and sell the bread. The table moves into a rack without the bread moving. It is really quite cool. The dimensions are 56″ high with wood casters, 36 1/2″ wide and 12″ deep.
The shelves themselves are 3/4″ thick. Then when the rack turns into a table, the table is 60″ long and 36″ wide. The is just a great antique piece to have in your house if you are tight for space. Use it as shelves most of the time, and then when you are having company or someone over for dinner, you can lay out the table. Great for that apartment. There is a furniture label on the underside that reads: Manufactured Exclusivly by the Bryan Novelty Mfg Co. Bryan, Ohio U.S.A. with the last Patent date March 28th, 1899.
