This is a beautiful Victorian inverted thumb print cranberry art glass pickle castor that features a colorful floral enameled design that completely encircles the insert. A unique feature of this pickle castor is that the silverplated holder features an attached hinged lid done in the shape of a leaf! How appropriate! This holder is marked by its maker, ‘Meriden’s Silverplate Company’. The set is complete with a serving fork. This pickle castor when all assembled together measures 7 1/4″ high and at the widest is 6″ from hanging fork to opposite side.
