One of the finest Mt. Washington brides bowls with detailed gold and multi-colored enameled floral designs that evenly decorate the sides of the pinched fluted top bowl, and note the pink interior with chartreuse exterior for an attractive and unique color combination. The bowl has a diameter of 10 1/2″ and the sides of the bowl are approximately 4 1/2″ high. Notice the marked numbers on the bottom of the bowl, ‘1240/2 and P.555’. Of equal beauty is the signed ‘Wilcox Silver Plate Company – Meriden, Connecticut, Quadruple Plate – 5506′ stand that features three winged cupids each doing a blacksmith task. Exceptional detail has been given to each of these cupid figures and their blacksmithing task and tools. Each of the cupids doing a different task, one working the bellow, another working the anvil with hammer held high, and the third is filing a piece that is held secure in the vice clamp. The stand measures 11 1/4″ high and with the bowl on top measures 15 1/4’ high. Wow! What a statement! This is an exceptional piece that is still in remarkable original condition.
