This is  a verse titled, ‘Christ the Healer’ and it is signed on the bottom, ‘Whittier’, and in the lower left hand corner it is labeled, ‘Copyright 1910 University Art Shop – Evanston, Illinois’. The verse reads, ‘He stood of old; the Holy Christ amid the suffering throng with whom His lightest touch sufficed to make the weakest strong. 
The healing gift He lends to them. Who use it in His name; the power that filled His garment’s hem Is evermore the same. 
For lo! In human hearts unseen, The Healer dwelleth still And they who make His temples clean The best subserve His will’. 
This frame measures 7 3/4″ x 14 3/4″. Handwritten on the back of this print is the following information, ‘Purchased by Aunt Nettie Modesitt – 1910 – Boulder, CO. There is also a gold seal which reads, ‘The Dow Art Co. – Fine Frames – We Do the Framing – 1623 Welton St. – Denver, Colorado’. What a detailed border frames this poem and the blue and green accents are quick to catch one’s eyes along with the arts and crafts design of this piece.
