Antique Country Store Diamond Dye Cabinet. This is an old antique country store advertising cabinet that would have been used in a country store to dispense dye packets for Diamond Dyes. The embossed tin front depicts children playing around a colorful balloon with the letter D on the balloon. The wordage on the front reads, ‘The Standard package Dyes of the World’. In very small wordage on the bottom of the tin front it reads, ‘Copyright United State, Canada, Wells & Richardson Company 1911′ – The American Art Works Coshocton, Ohio’. The cabinet can be accessed by either the front or backside as both sides are hinged. The backside of the cabinet also has an original advertising tin insert. This tin has detailed information regarding the usage of Diamond Dyes and notice that Wells & Richardson Company of Burlington, Vermont, U.S.A. were the Manufactures of Diamond Package Dyes. This oak cabinet has some wear to the finish but is still in good original condition and measures 15 1/4″ wide 8 1/2″ deep and stands 24 1/2″ high. This piece would make an excellent addition to any fine country store advertising collection.
