This is an antique “Hog Joy” cast iron pig oiler patented on May 12, 1914, by the Hog Joy Company of Springfield, Illinois. It was designed to hold oil, which would be released onto pigs as they rubbed against it, helping to control parasites like lice and mange. We bought this local, here in Central Nebraska. Measures 26 1/2″ long is 15″ high and 11″ deep.
