Antique Cast Iron Wall Plaque Lohengrin by Bradley Hubbard – 6″ x 8″

Antique Cast Iron wall Plaque. The man on the plaque is Lohengrin. He’s is a Knight of the Holy Grail and a character found in the German tradition of the legends of King Arthur. In one story he’s sent in a boat pulled by swans to rescue a maiden who can never ask his identity. She’s the woman on the plaque. Richard Wagner’s opera Lohengrin of 1848 is based upon the legend.  Made by Bradley and Hubbard Manufacturing Company. Notice the unique combination of a bronze colored texturized and four corners curled frame that encircles the brass colored center framed plaque. The outside measurements of this piece are 11″ wide by 13″ long and it extends out from the wall approximately 2 1/4″. The inside brass colored frame measures 7 3/4″ x 6″.
